The Dickinson County Heritage Center is a nonprofit museum complex dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and sharing the rich history of Dickinson County and Central Kansas. Operated by the Dickinson County Historical Society, the Heritage Center offers an engaging, hands-on experience through three unique museums: the Dickinson County Historical Society Museum, the Museum of Independent Telephony, and the nationally recognized C.W. Parker Carousel, home to one of the oldest operating wooden carousels in the United States. Visitors can also explore historic buildings, pioneer exhibits, agricultural artifacts, and interactive displays that bring the region's history to life.
Beyond preserving history, the Heritage Center serves as a community gathering place for educational programs, special events, school field trips, lectures, and family activities throughout the year.
